Hey, I'm Tara. I live in Oakmont, PA and lead a relatively boring life of going to school most days. However, I also like to have a lot of fun, doing crazy things with my friends, and going to a lot of local shows. If you want to know any thing else, my screen name is taradoesntknow.

From up here the city lights burn, like a thousand miles of fire...

very, very bored right now...don't i start out every entry like that? ok, maybe not...even though i'm bored now, i had a pretty good day.  except when i realized that i probably won't be able to go the RX Bandits/Mae show on dec. 5th because SAT's are the next day.  i'm not even taking the normal ones, i'm taking the sat II which is even more stupid because i doubt i'll apply to any schools that require it....this really sucks....but i did find out that yellowcard is coming on the 16 of december and even though it's a tuesday, i will hopefully be able to go.  no shows this weekend unfortunately, but i am going to anne's and we're watching movies.  we're supposedly going to watch "wrong turn" which is about a bunch of inbread people from WV who try to kill people...she said it's funny.  we're going to watch identity too, i heard it was really good.  we'll see...

you'll bite your lip until it bleeds...

yeah, i'm sitting in study hall right now and i'm very very bored.  school = hell.
sooo, in other news, i did have a good weekend.  friday was the sugarcult show.  transition was awesome, plain white t's were ok, story of the year was amazing, and sugarcult was pretty good.  i'm not a big sugarcult fan, but they are pretty good live.  during the song pretty girl, this guy got up on stage and tried to grab the mic and was saying all this stuff, so the singer put down his guitar and started fighting the guy.  it was interesting...especially when the security guard that was upstairs bolted for the door to go down...i don't remeber the last time i saw someone run that fast...  saturday was fun too.  i was going to go the $1 space pimps show downtown, but i'm really glad that i went to the volleyball dinner instead.  i didn't know that our old coaches were going to be there, and even though anne was trying to convince me to go without actually telling me they were, i had no idea.  it was a lot of fun though.  we mostly complained about our new coach the whole time.  plus we finally got our cake with our pictures on it and our senior books.  it was cool.  sunday i did nothing except work in the morning.  i can't wait to go home...two more periods left but it's only one class and it's kind of a fun class so it won't be too bad...there's the bell

EDIT: umm, yeah...what i said earlier about bio being a fun class, THAT WAS A LIE...we had a test that i totally forgot about, so it was NOT fun today...and being at home isn't much better because my mom is making me do college applications...

understanding in a car crash

uh oh...i had a little car accident today.  i only hit the other car no one was in it and the car was fine, but it was really embarassing.  i'm scared to drive now.  it was when i was leaving school early to go to my apprenticeship and for some reason i didn't even check behind me to see if there was a car there and i started backing up.  geez, my first accident...oh wait, there was that one time when i very gently accidentaly hit another car that was parked...but no one knows about that and there was absolutely no damage so i'm not worried about that one.
in other, better, news, the new version of heart transplant is up on the punchline mp3 site.  i really like it.  at first i was like "this isn't my old heart transplant" and it was all weird because it was different, but after listening to it for a while i really do like it.  i still don't think it compares to open up though.  that is the best song.

open up and say ahh and get what's coming to ya

wow, i looked back on what i wrote yesterday and so much of it was random....i was still really tired from saturday i think.  today wasn't any better.  i seriously cannot go to school for another 7 months, i am so sick of it.  it's weird cause i was always one of those strange people who liked school, but now i've never been more ready to get out of there.  i don't even do my work...i still haven't handed in a chem lab that was due last wednesday.  at least i get to leave early tomorrow for my apprenticeship.  it's not going to be that intersting because we have some stupid guestspeaker, but it's better than sitting in school.  i can't wait till friday...no school (except for that lab i have to make up in the morning, that's going to suck) and the sugarcult/story of the year/plain white t's/transition show.  i like transition, they were good saturday.  but i feel bad because the one guy was talking to me and i wasn't really paying much attention because by that point in the night it was really late and i was really tired.

i would rather spit than see your face

Febtoberfest was so much fun yesterday.  It was cool to see SF again since i haven't see them since august.  Clearview and Transition were also really awesome.  I was kind of pissed though, because i lost my punchline pin that i got two years ago during clearview's set.  i still had a lot of fun all day though.  by the end of the night i was so tired, yet i somehow managed to be wide awake for punchline's set.  they rocked out awesomely, as usual.  paul was really nice when we talked to him before and after they played.  he seriously gives the best hugs.

my tongue will taste of gin and malicious intent

wow, i haven't been this tired in a long time.  it's really not a good idea to stay up till 3:30 in the morning and then get up at six.  it's probably also not a good idea to be here creating a blog when i still have homework to do....but whatever.  tomorrow should at least be somewhat fun since we get to dress up for school.  ha, my costume is so stupid.  i still don't know what we're doing tomorrow night.  can' t be out too late though....got to get up early for saturday.  i can't wait, that should be a lot of fun.
ugh, it's already 9:00 and i have so much left to do.  i can't even listen to dead air anymore....it really sucks without matt.  it's everything now that it was created not to be...if that even made any sense.  all they play now is singles...alot of it's the same bands matt played, but he didn't just play singles.  they also don't play as much local stuff and they've added a lot of "x" style music.  yeah....it sucks.
